Adolph Lancaster (1882-1961) was a member of Vancouver & Quadra Lodge No. 2 in Victoria. He is buried in Victoria Jewish Cemetery, Victoria, B.C.

At present we do not know much more about him. He was related to Isadore Lancaster (died 1924), who was also a member of Vancouver & Quadra Lodge No. 2 and who is also buried in Victoria Jewish Cemetery, and, with Isadore Lancaster, was involved in a business called Army & Navy Clothing, located in Victoria.

In April 2018 we were contacted by Ryon Ready, a UVic student who is doing research on Jewish pioneers in Victoria Jewish Cemetery.  Ryon told us that “Adolph Lancaster was the husband of Victoria Salmon, daughter of Maurice Salmon and Kate Davis, and that their young son George is also buried not too far from them in the cemetery….”

Ryon Ready is associated with this UVic website on Jewish Pioneers of Victoria. We have asked him to provide us with any information about Jewish Freemasons his research may uncover.

We will do more research on Adolph Lancaster as time permits and post what we find.
