Ukraine Relief Fund Through The Grand Lodge of B.C. & Yukon

Brethren,

We have received the following message from the Grand Lodge of B.C. & Yukon regarding a new Ukraine Relief Fund:

“Brethren, all :-

The Grand Lodge of Ukraine has contacted our Grand Lodge, requesting assistance during their current humanitarian crisis. Brethren wishing to make financial contributions are asked to forward cheques to this office, payable to the Grand Lodge of B.C. & Yukon, noting that the funds are to be directed to the Ukraine.

The Grand Lodge of B.C. & Yukon will forward the funds directly to the Grand Lodge of Ukraine.

S&F,

V.W.B. Trevor McKeown”

This is an excellent way to provide direct financial support to our Ukrainian Brethren during these times of desperate need in Ukraine.

We will look at setting up a way of collecting cheques from any Vancouver Island Brethren wishing to contribute and then forwarding those cheques to the Grand Lodge of B.C. & Yukon in a single package.

Shriners Supporting Masonic Lodges And Masonic Lodges Supporting The Shrine

Mhairi Logan Swanson, Queen of Miriam, Temple No. 2, Daughters of the Nile sent us the following graphic to promote cooperation between Masonic Lodges and the Shriners.

This states the case very well. Far too often we tend to focus on the Shrine at the expense of our Masonic Lodge or on our Masonic Lodge at the expense of the Shrine.

Gizeh Shriners of B.C. & Yukon and the Cowichan Valley Shrine Club No, 27 are the public face of Masonic charity in the Cowichan Valley. If you would like to get involved, please contact the Cowichan Valley Shrine Club No, 27.
