Thomas Shanks McPherson (1873-1962) was a Past Master and member of Victoria-Columbia Lodge No. 1 in Victoria. He was a real estate investor who left a lasting influence on Victoria. Two of his buildings, the Central Building and the McPherson Playhouse are still standing in downtown Victoria.

Thomas Shanks McPherson left a bequest to the University of Victoria which funded the McPherson Library.

Here are some websites with more information about Thomas Shanks McPherson.

Here are photos of the Central Building, 620 View Street, and the McPherson Playhouse, both of which were built by architect Jesse Milton Warren for Thomas Shanks McPherson.
