David Oppenheimer (1834-1897) was a member of Vancouver & Quadra Lodge No. 2 in Victoria.  He was a leading figure in B.C. business as a partner in the firm of Oppenheimer Brothers, a grocery wholesaler which is still in business. He was also Vancouver’s second Mayor.

The Oppenheimer Building, built in 1886 as an office and warehouse for Oppenheimer Brothers, is still standing Vancouver’s Gastown. Oppenheimer Park in Vancouver is named for David Oppenheimer and was opened by him in 1902.
