FRANZ JOSEPH HAYDN

Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809) was one of the leading composers of 18th and early 19th centuries. He was Initiated a member of Lodge zur Wahrn Eintracht in Vienna in 1785; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart had also been a member of this Lodge and some sources state it was Mozart who introduced Haydn to Freemasonry..

Trumpet Concertos by Wynton Marsalis with Raymond Leppard and the National Philharmonic Orchestra

Wynton Marsalis is the soloist on three trumpet concertos, by Franz Joseph Haydn, Johann Hummel and Leopold Mozart (the father of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart). 2005 re-release of original 1983 recording.

Haydn: The 12 London Symphonies by Eugen Jochum and the London Philharmonic Orchestra

Originally recorded in 1972 and 1973 by Deutsche Grammophon, this is still one of the best recordings of the 12 London Symphonies - No. 93-104. Eugen Jochum also made some other excellent recordings for Deutsche Grammophon.
