Stair Lift

R.W. Brother Bill Thompson takes the first ride on the new Masonic Temple stair lift

Stair Lift:

The long running saga of our new stair lift in the Masonic Temple is finally resolved. The stair lift is installed, it works, and all final inspections and approvals by provincial government inspectors have been completed. Temple Lodge, No. 33 thanks R.W. Brother Bill Thompson for all his work on this time consuming and patience-testing project.

At the Regular Meeting of 12 February 2013, a (strictly tongue in cheek) motion was passed naming the new Temple Lodge, No. 33 stair lift the "Right Worshipful Brother Bill Thompson Express."

We know that several Brethren have been reluctant or unable to attend Lodge meetings and events because they have difficulties with the stairs leading to the Lodge rooms. The new stair lift should resolve that issue and we look forward to seeing these Brethren in Lodge in the near future.
