MASONIC INTERMENTS

CHARLES WALTER LEWIS

Charles Walter Lewis (1875-1959) was a member of Kamloops Lodge, No 10, Kamloops, B.C. He ws buried in Mountain View Cemetery on 14 April 1959 in a Masonic ceremony held under the auspices of Temple Lodge, No.33.

Here is what we know about Bro. Charles Walter Lewis:

"ROLL OF REMEMBRANCE OF OUR LATE BROTHER CHARLES WALTER LEWIS

Born: Queensville, Ontario 1875

Initiated: March 21st, 1921. Kamloops Lodge, No.10, Kamloops, B.C.

Passed: April 28th, 1921;

Raised: March 21st, 1922;

Died: St. Joseph's Hospital, Victoria, B.C., April 9th, 1959

Aged: 84 years;

Funeral: Held under the auspices of Temple Lodge, No.33, Duncan, B.C. From the United Church, Duncan to Mountain View Cemetery, Duncan, April 14th, 1959.

MAY HE REST IN PEACE

A. Stevenson, R.K. Cairns, H.D. McDonald, E.A.B. Sutton, G.C. Smith, J.E. Teasdale"

"Charles W. Lewis Lived At Koksilah

A resident of Koksilah for many years, Charles Walter Lewis died in Victoria April 9. Born in Queensville, Ont., 85 years ago, he was a railway conductor with the CNR and saw service with that company for 39 years.

Retiring to live on Mission Road, Koksilah, he later lived in Duncan with Mr. and Mrs. Roper, Tyee Street, and moved to Victoria.

He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Lars Larsen, Nanaimo; three grandchildren and two brothers, Reid Lewis, Vancouver and Dillon Lewis, Calgary. He was a member of Kamloops Lodge, No.10, A.F. & A.M.

Funeral services were held under the auspices of Temple Lodge, No.33, A.F. & A.M., Duncan, with services at Duncan United Church, Rev. Ray Woolam officiating, and interment in Mountain View Cemetery. Sands Mortuary Ltd., Victoria had charge of arrangements."
