RICK WAKEMAN

W.B. Rick Wakeman is a member of Chesea Lodge, No. 3098 in London, U.K. He served as Worshipful Master of Chelsea Lodge, No.3098 in 2015.

W.B. Wakeman has had a successful career in music since the early 1970s. He has released over 100 solo albums which have sold over 50 million copies.

His best known solo albums are The Six Wives of Henry VIII, Journey To The Center Of The Earth and The Myth And Legend Of King Arthur And The Knights Of The Round Table.

He is also well known for his 1970s work with "progressive rock" bands Yes and Strawbs.

He has appeared as a session musician on many other albums, including Cat Stevens' 1970 album Teaser And The Firecat, on which he also composed the piano bridge in the song Morning Has Broken.

Return To The Center Of The Earth by Rick Wakeman

1999 sequel to Rick Wakeman's 1974 album, Journey To The Center Of The Earth. Like the original, it features the London Symphony Orchestra and the English Chamber Choir. It is narrated by Patrick Stewart (yes, the one who played Jean-Luc Piccard on Star Trek). It also features Ozzy Osbourne, Justin Hayward and Bonnie Tyler.

Fragile by Yes (with Rick Wakeman on keyboards)

This 1972 release was the first Yes album with Rick Wakeman on keyboards. Best known tracks include: Long Distance Runaround and Roundabout. Got to #4 on Billboard chart.

1974 Yes album featuring Rick Wakeman on keyboards. We have some reservations about recommending this album; it's one of those albums that people either love or hate. WB Wakeman is reputed to have described it as "like wading through a cesspool to get to a water lily."

Teaser And The Firecat by Cat Stevens (featuring Rick Wakeman on piano)

This 1970 release was one of the best selling albums of its day. Rick Wakeman appears on the album playing piano. Rick Wakeman also composed the piano bridge in the song Morning Has Broken.
