Here is a brief biographical sketch of Brother Frank Walton Dibb taken from local newspaper reports of his death and funeral:

“Dibb – The death occurred in the King’s Daughters’ Hospital, Duncan, yesterday morning of Mr. Frank Walton Dibb, Kenneth Street, after an illness of several years. The deceased, who had been in Duncan Hospital since December 24 of last year, is survived by his wife and two daughters, Cecilia and Lenora.”

“Dibb – Funeral services for Mr. Frank Walton Dibb, Duncan, who passed away in the King’s Daughters’ Hospital last Wednesday after a long illness, were held on Friday afternoon.


The Rev. Arthur Bischlager officiated at a service in St. John’s Church, Duncan. Burial took place at St. Peter’s cemetery, Quamichan, where the service was conducted by officers of Columbia lodge, No. 2, I.O.O.F., of which Mr. Dibb was a member.


Born in Bradford, England, 52 years ago, Mr. Dibb came to Canada when 16 years old. He was an employee of the Esquimalt and Nanaimo Railway for over 21 years and was forced to leave his post as conductor through an illness seven years ago and from which he has suffered since.


Besides his wife and two daughters, Cecilia and Lenora, he leaves three sisters, Mrs. Fred Pell and Mrs. Lizzie Powers, Victoria, and Mrs. Tom Russel, Vancouver. Mr. R.H. Whidden directed funeral services.”
